Initialement Hameau dépendant de la paroisse du village disparu de Saint-Brice, Avioth doit son développement à l’extraordinaire découverte d’une statue en bois d’une Vierge à l’Enfant dans le courant du XIIe siècle.
Initially a hamlet dependent on the parish of the missing village of Saint-Brice, Avioth owes its development to the extraordinary discovery of a wooden statue of a Virgin and Child in the course of the twelfth century.
Ursprünglich ein Weiler, der von der Pfarrei des verschwundenen Dorfes Saint-Brice abhängt, verdankt Avioth seine Entwicklung der außergewöhnlichen Entdeckung einer Holzstatue einer Jungfrau mit Kind im Laufe des 12. Jahrhunderts.
